웨일즈는 EOP시스템을 엄격하게 적용하며 이 부분은 영어스피킹 향상에 많은 도움을 주었던것으로 생각한다. 또한 선생님들의 센스있는 학습방법은 나에게 많은 도움이 되었다.
선생님들은 인내심있고 이해력을 가지고 나에게 용기를 주었다. 우리 학원은 새로 지어진 건물과 많은 레스토랑이 밀집되어 있는 접근이 용이한 위치해 있었다. 내가 연수하는 기간동안 나는 자신있게 나의 스피킹 실력이 늘었다고 말할 수 있다.

유학원이 웨일즈어학원을 나에게 2가지 이유로 추천을 해주었습니다. 그리고 나는 두가지 이유로 이 학교를 선택을 하였고 공부를 하였습니다.
이 장점은 내가 영어학원을 찾는 사람들에게 한마디로 요약해주면 “웨일즈를 놓치지마라”입니다.
• 생활에 필요한 모든것을 갖춘 접근성
학원 근처에는 다양한 종류의 식당들과 마트가 있고 SM몰까지 도보로 15분이면 갈 수 있습니다. 이 장점은 내가 스트레스를 받을때 걸어서 번함파크 산책이나 군것질거리를 사러 수업 후에 가볍게 나갈 수 있게 하였습니다. 결과적으로 이 장점은 나에게 긍정적인 에너지와 스트레스를 가볍게 날려버릴 수 있게 하였습니다.
• 가족과 같은 분위기
완벽한 교육정책과 선생님들의 긍정적인 태도는 학생들의 공부의지와 동기부여에 큰 영향을 미칩니다. 웨일즈어학원은 나에게 실망을 주지 않았습니다. 선생님들은 내 공부에 필요한 관련 자료들을 준비하여 주었고 내가 직면한 문제점들을 해결할 수 있도록 도와주고 도전을 할 수 있도록 하였습니다. 나에게는 항상 긍정적이고 용기를 가지고 문제를 풀 수 있도록 정서적으로 도움을 주었고 그 결과는 다가오는 IELTS시험에 영향을 미쳤습니다.
3주 ESL과정후에 나는 7주간 IELTS과정을 공부하였습니다. 이 기간동안에 각 분야에 큰 점수 향상이 있었고. 나는 IELTS 벤드스코어 4.5점에서 6.5점을 받았습니다.
선생님들의 도움과 격려가 아니었으면 나는 이 기간동안 6.5점이라는 점수를 받을 수 없었을겁니다. 또한 나에게 큰 황홀한 기억을 남겨주었습니다.

Study Hard if You Want to be Improved!
My purpose to study English was to improve my communication skill. When I was in Korea, I had never studied English because I did not have any needs or opportunities. However, I realized the necessity of English when I traveled abroad and I wanted to talk with foreigners more. I have a friend who studied in WALES two years ago, so I decided to study here with her recommendation.
Although I did not know anything about English, I learned basic grammar and speaking, which enhanced my English skill. I am not fluent in English, but I’m sure I improved myself so much.
The facility here is very good. However, I often felt that some teachers lack teaching skills… Besides, it was hard to speak English because there were so many Koreans speaking in Korean.

If someone wants to study in Philippines, I believe that WALES could be the best choice for you for two reasons.
First of all, this school operates with not that many students compared with the other schools. In the other schools case, they have more than 100 students (even more than 500 students…), but in WALES, they have about 50 students. Actually, although more students are enrolling nowadays, I heard that the maximum number of students will be 70. Therefore, teachers can concentrate on their students respectively and be interested in their students. In addition, students can feel strong bond or affection with teachers.
Second, in this school, a student could mix with variety of nationalities. In here, I could get along with Japanese, Taiwanese, Filipino and Korean. Of course, there are more Koreans rather than the other nationalities, but still there are many foreigners. I was able to learn their cultures which are totally different with Korean’s. I could experience Japan, Taiwan and the other countries in Philippines. Up until now, I think that the biggest thing I got in WALES is ‘friends’.
In summary, if someone come to WALES to study English, at least, he or she would feel bonds with teachers and get many foreigner friends. There might be some drawbacks in here, but I am satisfied with my life in WALES.

필리핀에서의 생활은 마치 유리속의 숨겨진 세상을 보는것과 같았습니다. 저는 어학연수나 유학경험이 없었기 때문에, 모든것이 새롭고 완벽했습니다. 저는 영어를 공부하기 위해 웨일즈어학원을 선택한 것이 옳은 선택이었다고 생각합니다. 저는 모든 분야 (듣기, 읽기, 쓰기, 말하기) 에서 눈에 띄게 영어실력을 향상시킬 수 있었고 시각을 넓힐 수 있었습니다.
저는 웨일즈에서 6개월동안 공부했으며 2개월의 ESL, 그리고 4개월의 IELTS 과정을 마쳤습니다. ESL과정을 통해 저는 기본기를 다졌기에 토익이나 오픽과는 전혀 다른 방식의 IELTS를 공부하면서도 별다른 어려움을 느끼지 않았습니다. 만약 학생들의 약점과 어려움을 아는 실력있는 선생님들이 계시지 않았다면 저는 끝마치지 못하고 포기했을 것입니다. 그러나 많은 선생님들과 친구들이 응원해주고 격려해주었기에 저는 과정을 마칠 수 있었습니다. 또한 공부를 열심히 했을 뿐 아니라 현명하고 합리적으로 앞으로의 계획을 짤 수 있었습니다.
요약하면, 저는 모든 선생님들과 친구들에게 감사하며 여기에서 머물렀던 시간들을 잊지 못할 것입니다.
